Abstract

This article proposes the Implementation of Biosafety in the first year of the medical career. From the emergence and re-emergence of infectious diseases, the professional training of the medical science faces new challenges; to control them, the correct implementation and compliance with biosecurity protocols is necessary. A development research was carried out, whose universe and sample was constituted by the students of the first year of the medical career of the 2022 academic year. The own course explains four thematic units that encompass systems of knowledge and skills, through lectures, and independent works linking theory with practice. It is possible to familiarize the first-year medical student with Biosafety, which will allow the development of professional skills that respond to health need
