With the purpose of disseminating the scientific work generated in Cuba and the world, the electronic journal "Ciencia y Progreso." has been created. It is an international publication of academic and multidisciplinary character, attached to the Center for Scientific and Technical Research of the University of Guantanamo in Cuba. It arises in 2016 as a space for the dissemination of the results of scientific research conducted in Guantánamo, Cuba and other parts of the world, with the purpose of contributing to the socialization of the best educational practices. Its descriptors are: initial and permanent training of professionals in education, agricultural education, agricultural engineering, socio-cultural studies, legal sciences, computer engineering, industrial engineering, physical culture and sports, and health science.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that providing the public with free access to research helps a greater global exchange of knowledge.

The target audience of this publication is composed of professors, researchers, students and any national and international public interested in the disciplines of education, culture, science and technology, health, and other branches. It publishes original articles on a quarterly basis written in Spanish and English, supports the exchange of knowledge globally by allowing the research published in this journal to be open to the public and reusable under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).

Frequency of Publication:

Four issues are published during the year with a total of 10 articles in the months of January: period January-March, April: period April-June, July: period July, July-September, October: period October-December.
