Application of the Cuban 50001/2011 Standard in two wood Processing Companies in Guantánamo

Abstract

The energy aspects of the new village of Imías and the furniture factories Empire I and II of Guantánamo were analyzed, the main problem is to determine the main energy carrier of the two institutions taking into account their social objectives. The purpose of the Research is to determine the main energy milestones using the Cuban Standard 50001/2011 as a tool. The method used was mathematical modeling to estimate energy and environmental indicators. The main result is that the electricity in the largest carrier the sawmill consumes 1,358.3 MWh and the factories 193,920 MWh.
