Abstract

The objective of this work was to determine the current state of the coffee agroecosystem of the Credit
and Services Cooperative Luis A. Carbó in the community of Limonar de Monte Ruz El Salvador
Guantánamo. In the period from October 2021 to November 2022, 20x25 m2 plots were monitored
where a total of 16 weed species distributed in 9 botanical families were identified, 1 of which is
monocotyledonous and 8 are dicotyledonous. The family with the most species found was the Poaceae,
with 4 followed by the Asteraceae family with 3, the Amaranthaceae with 2. The rest of the families are
represented with one species each and the Poaceae family was the most abundant within the systems
studied.
